Webwatch from MT 213
The most recent edition of MT (‘Mathematics Teaching’), the main journal of the ATM contains a ‘Webwatch’ article on blogs, written by myself and my wife, Jenni. Oddly, they credit me with being a member of their ICT group, which is news to me!
In the article we highlight four blogs which we felt shared interesting resources and lesson ideas:
- dy/dan, by Dan Meyer.
- Let’s Play Math!
- Mathnotations, by Dave Marain.
- 360, by members of Nazareth College maths department.
For different reasons I think all four of these should be in the feed lists of everyone interested in maths teaching.
If you would like to know a little more, including links to some recommended posts, then the Webwatch article is available to read online for free. Most of the other MT content is only available to subscribers, but I can recommend Anne Watson’s article on notation, which is available to non-subscribers.
